Hey there folks!
As I mentioned in a previous post I’d been on annual leave the previous 9 days. I got into a bad routine of sitting up later & later each night watching films I’d seen countless times before until silly o’clock. My body clock was well & truely out of sync.
Last night I didn’t sleep a wink, not a one. As you’d imagine today has been a long & tiring one, but it was the pain in my eyes that was the real kicker. They were throbbing & bloodshot. Seeing as I was at work there was no magical fix I could go & procure from the shop or chemist.
All I wanted was one of those blue gel eyemasks you put in your fridge to chill so when you wear it it soothes tired eyes. Well that wasn’t going to happen so I’d to make do with the resources available. Tea bags. Yes, I said tea.
So how would the humble tea bag help me feel better?!
Here’s how, tea cantains caffeine, which is an anti inflamitory.
So the next time you’re making a round of rosey lee put the used teabags in the fridge to chill. When they’re cold make yourself comfy & put one on each eye. Caffeine constricts blood vessels making it ideal for reducing redness in the likes of rosacea or puffiness so it’s perfect for under the eyes.
This is exactly what I did & I kid you not 30 minutes later I felt brand new. I was more awake & my eyes no longer throbbed or ached.
So before you run out & spend silly money on fancy creams give this a try first. I promise you won’t be disappointed & you have to agree it’s some serious value for money.
